Experiments for testing the performance of coils used in electromagnetic tomography rail inspection experimental setup
The following are two experimental video clips.
1. Rail defect reconstruction experiment
The defect in the sample can be roughly indicated by the system.
2. Experiment to verify testing performance of coils
Experiment shows that the basic coils pairs of EMT rail inspection can acquire crack information when the sample rotating to get the surface linear speed of 120Km/h (around 74 miles/h). The signal excitation, measurement and demodulation of this system are realized by using Xilinx Kintex7 FPGA.
