Our principles
Take-A-Rest is fully functional offline. Your work time, rest counts and all other usage statistics stay on your own computer and are never uploaded.
What is collected when update checks are enabled
The app only connects to the internet after you explicitly click “Enable update checks”. There are exactly one kinds of network traffic:
Version check: a plain-text manifest is fetched from Magtomo Lab to notify you of new releases.
What we never collect
- Work duration, rest counts, or any usage-habit data;
- Window titles, keystrokes, or screenshots;
- Computer/user names, or any permanent device or installation identifier.
How to opt out
Turn off Automatically check for updates in Settings to stop all network requests and statistics immediately; every local feature keeps working. You can still check for updates manually from the About page (manual checks follow the same minimal principles).
